The arts and culture are very much alive and well in Pequot Lakes with the addition of the Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts (GLAPA) group in 1983. With an active and interested membership, GLAPA has hosted visiting performers, touring theatre shows and various programs by the Pequot Lakes Community Theater. Annual community activities here include fall’s “Taste of Pequot,” where neighbors and friends gather in Trailside Park to taste the wares of local restaurants, and our unique Bean Hole Days celebration, where a special recipe of beans is the perfect compliment as you stroll through the local craft fair.
Although Pequot Lakes’ residents honor their quaint community atmosphere, the community continues to grow and welcome new residents. Evidence includes the addition of a new elementary school, the continued diversification of industries in the downtown area and a 57-acre industrial park.
So if you are ready to find a home where the community embraces its uniqueness while preparing for the future, you will find Pequot Lakes exactly what you need. |
